I know we’re all pretty used to it by now, but I fear us ever underappreciating that the Transformers is literally the one franchise with not just a gay couple, but several gay couples; not just one trans character, but several that are also in devoted, healthy, and loving relationships; that Transformers has not just one lesbian couple, but several, and it is probably the only franchise to even come close to claiming this. 

It is not a factor to be considered that it is about giant alien robots and not humans, but it is to be marveled that a story about giant alien robots is the most lgbtq+ diverse fiction in existence.  And we should never underappreciated that fact and our love for it.
